All the Manual Transmission 993 Model 911's had 6-Speed Gearboxes.
A Lathe is a tool or machine that spins on the center-line axes. Raw material is placed in holding device (Called a Chuck) that allows the operator to turn down or polish the material to whatever he wants using cutters and abrasives.

I believe the Carreras have had a 6-speed (manual) for some time now...
A "lathe" in general is something that spins an object (like food over a barbecue) so you can shape it, usually by shaving or molding it.

I sympathize with your problems, but put yourself in the place of the repair shop and a judge that would decide your case. You have no way of knowing whether the shop caused the failure or a totally new and unrelated failure occurred. If you at least knew what repair was to be done and then saw that the same repair failed again, you could start to argue this case. So was the engine oil filter tightened or replaced because the gasket was leaking? And is that oil filter gasket still leaking now? First you need to talk to the repair shop and see what they say and understand what repair was made and if the repair failed again. Then you can decide what to do next.
